Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Tom Rendall played for the Winnipeg Monarchs of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League before entering the University of Michigan.  He played center from 1955-1957 under Coach Vic Heyliger.  He was part of both the 1955 and 1956 National Championship teams and as of 2014, is the only player to have been named the All-Tournament Team more than twice, appearing three times (1955, 1956, and 1957).

After graduating from Michigan, he played professional hockey for several years with the Oakville Oaks, Winnipeg Maroons, and Spokane Jets.  Tom Rendall passed away 7 April 2002.
