George Chin came to the University of Michigan from Windsor, Ontario. He played right wing under Coach Vic Heyliger from 1951-1952 through 1953-1954. He scored fifty-five goals and recorded sixty-seven assists for a career total of 122 points. He was the leading scorer in both the 1952 and 1953 NCAA Hockey Tournaments. Michigan was the NCAA Champion in each year.
He was named to the All-American Team in 1952 and again in 1953. His most memorable experience at Michigan was winning the NCAA Championship in his rookie season. George Chin graduated from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.
